European Standards for "Forensic science services"

European Standards are to facilitate cross-border co-operation among forensic experts in criminal investigations in the future.

Forensic science services become more and more important within the framework of international criminal investigations. However, forensic experts work in line with different rules and guidelines in the individual countries.

Therefore, the Polish Committee for Standardization PKN proposed the development of European Standards in this field. As a result, standards on forensic science services will soon be drawn up by the European Committee for Standardization CEN.
