The area of language services is not subject to access regulations. Therefore, it is often difficult for customers to judge the competence and quality of translation services.
The certification matches the Language Industry Certification System (LICS) according to EN 15038 and provides professional translator service providers with the opportunity to obtain for their services an international seal of quality.

How the get the LICS-Certificate
- The applicant delivers his first application for certification to AS+C.
- The applicant must present written documentation of the fulfillment of the requirements of EN 15038. This documentation must be carried out according to the checklist provided by the certification body.
- The certification body appoints an auditor.
- The auditor audits the service provider according to specified checklist.
- After successfully completing the steps 1-3, the applicant obtains a certificate with the authorization to carry the mark of conformity "LICS EN 15038." The certificate is valid for six years, as long as the requirements for the maintenance of the certificate are fulfilled.
- Re-audit in a two-year cycle, to verify the effective and universal quality of the service.
