What products must already carry the CE-marking?

The following construction products, among others, must already have a CE-marking in order to be marketed in the European Economic Area (EEA):

• Asphalt
• Concrete components
• Geo-textiles
• Aggregates

How  to get the CE-Label

The Construction Products Directive (CPD) distinguishes six systems for the proof of conformity,  of which AS+C offers the following 4 systems:

System 1:

1. Application for the CE-marking by the manufacturer
2. Initial testing of the product by a notified testing body (AS+C)
3. Initial inspection of the factory, the factory's  production-control and sampling by a  notified testing body (AS+C)
4. Testing of the samples by the manufacturer (according to a specific quality control plan)
5. Certification of the product, on the basis of the initial inspection of the factory and the factory's production-control, by a notified testing body (AS+C)
6. Continuous monitoring of the factory's production-control system by the notified testing body (AS+C).

System 1+:

1. All steps of system 1 
2. Continuous sampling by the notified testing body (AS+C).

System 2: 

1. Application for CE-marking by the manufacturer.
2. Initial-testing of the product by the manufacturer.
3. factory's production-control.
4. Initial-inspection of the factory and the factory's production control by a notified testing body (AS+C).
5. Certification of the factory's production-control.

System 2+:

1. All steps of system 2
2. Testing of the samples by the manufacturer (according to a specific quality-control plan)
3. Continuous monitoring of the factory's production-control by the notarized notified testing body (AS+C).
